Hopefully this will be helpful to Simplify 3D users when generating better more rigid supports that have more standing power for taller prints.
Normally Simplify 3D generates pretty good supports but sometimes a more sturdy support is desired. Check out the illustrations below and you’ll be on your way to much improved support material.
Normal support material is shown to the right. It’s ok but lets make a simple setting adjustment to improve it a touch.
Enter into your support settings and you will see something similar to this where you have a single infill angle for your support. Next click on the add angle button and enter another value of -45 for the 2nd infill angle.
